How to Get a Free Perk
Location of Interest:
The location of interest in this strategy is the Bio Lab, West side, which is between the Crafting Table and the Armor Wall-Buy.
Steps in Strategy:
- 1. Locate the Caged Zombies: On the West side of the Bio Lab, look up along the wall. You'll see a few zombies that are sitting in cages that cannot be accessed.
- 2. Eliminate the Caged Zombies: Using any weapon, kill the caged zombies. Pro Tip: Explosives work great on this step because access is poor through the cage bars.
- 3. Move to the Next Level: In this case, after killing those zombies who were in cages, proceed to the next level in the game.
- 4. Kill Parasites: When the new level has begun, some Parasites will be released from inside of cages seen earlier. Kill those Parasites.
- 5. Optional - Check for stragglers (Recommended): One can do a further eye check above the Armor Wall-Buy area in the upper cells for any leftover rogue zombies or Parasites.
- 6. Entangle and murderize the Mangler: After a while, one of the cages will start filling up with a Mangler. The best way to defeat a Mangler is by focusing on its cannon arm. Once that is destroyed, focus on its head for a killing blow.
- 7. Collect Your Prize: Once the Mangler has been defeated, in your character's location, a Random Perk Power-Up will appear. This Perk will be randomly selected based on the ones you do not have.
Extra Notes:
- The Perk Power-Up received via this method is completely random and will depend on which you do not already have.
