How to Save your Game in Atomic Heart - Ultimate Guide

Auto-saving and manual saving are both features of the game, and they help ensure that after you overcome tricky moments, you don't have to redo them. Auto-saving occurs every time you make a significant progress in the game, such as defeating a boss or completing a quest. However, you can also save your game manually. On the left side of your screen, there is a “Game Save” prompt, which you can use to save your progress whenever you want. It’s always a good idea to save your game regularly to ensure you don’t lose your progress.

When you save your game, all of your progress is stored in a local save file on your system. This save file contains all of your progress, from level progress to weapon and armor upgrades. By saving your game, you create backups of your progress, so if something happens and you need to close the game or restart your computer, you can easily pick up from where you left off.

You can also use the “Game Save” prompt to backup your save files as well. This is especially helpful if you have multiple save files and want to make sure that they are safe. To backup your save files, simply select “Backup Save Files” on the “Game Save” prompt. You can then choose a location to store the backup files, such as an external hard drive or a USB flash drive.

If you die in Atomic Heart, you can still recover your progress using the “Game Save” prompt. Select “Load Previous Save” to load your last saved game. This will load the exact same spot you were in before you died.
