One of the biggest challenges in the game is finding the Pillbox Key and getting the Special Wrench. These two items are crucial to progressing through the game, and without them, players will find themselves stuck in a never-ending cycle of fear and danger. In this blog post, we’ll go over where to find the Pillbox Key and how to obtain the Special Wrench.
Once you have the Pillbox Key, you can use it to unlock a door in the same level that leads to a control room. In this room, you'll find a computer terminal that you can use to access various systems in the bunker. You'll also find a set of metal stairs that lead up to the third level of the bunker. Be sure to explore the control room thoroughly before heading up the stairs, as there are several items and clues that can be helpful in the later parts of the game.
Finding the Pillbox Key
After the lockdown, players should head towards the Maintenance area. This is where the Pillbox Key can be found, but players should be aware that the area is infested with rats. The rats can be dealt with using a variety of methods, including traps and poison. Once the rats have been dealt with, players should proceed with caution in the Pantry. This area is filled with booby-traps that can be triggered by stepping on the wrong tiles. Players should be sure to watch their step and avoid the traps.
After clearing out the area, players should use Flares to avoid the Beast that roams the corridors. The Beast is a dangerous creature that can kill players in just a few hits, so it’s important to avoid it at all costs. Once the Beast has been avoided, players should retrieve the Pillbox Key and proceed left from the Workshop.
Getting the Special Wrench
Once players have the Pillbox Key, they can use it to access the save point in the area. However, players should be aware that there are German snipers in the area. To avoid them, players should crouch while climbing the ladder. Once players have obtained the Special Wrench, they will be able to progress through the game and overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
