One crucial item that players need to acquire in the game is a gas mask. The gas mask is essential for survival as it protects players from harmful gases and chemicals that are present in the game's environment. In this blog post, we will guide you on how to get a gas mask in Amnesia: The Bunker.
The gas mask can be found in the storage room on Level 2 of the bunker. To get to the storage room, you will need to solve a puzzle involving a series of levers and valves. Once you have solved the puzzle, the door to the storage room will unlock, and you can enter.
Inside the storage room, you will find the gas mask hanging on the wall. Simply approach it and press the action button to pick it up. Congratulations, you now have a gas mask!

Finding Laval's Dog Tag

The first step in getting a gas mask in Amnesia: The Bunker is to find Laval's Dog Tag. Laval's Dog Tag is needed to unlock Laval's Locker in Mission Storage, where the gas mask is located. Laval's Dog Tag can be found in two locations - Foreman's Quarters or Break Room.

We recommend checking Foreman's Quarters first for a chance to obtain Laval's Dog Tag early. Foreman's Quarters can be found by going through the door on the right side of the Control Room. Once inside, players need to search the room for Laval's Dog Tag.

If Laval's Dog Tag is not found in Foreman's Quarters, players can check the Break Room. The Break Room can be found by going through the door on the left side of the Control Room. Once inside, players need to search the room for Laval's Dog Tag.

Avoiding the Beast

After obtaining Laval's Dog Tag, players need to head back to the Control Room to access Mission Storage. However, players need to be careful as there is a deadly Beast that roams the area. To avoid the Beast, players need to exit the room and turn right. Players then need to jump over the booby-trap and enter the closet.

Once inside the closet, players need to wait for the Beast to pass by before exiting and continuing to Mission Storage.

Obtaining the Gas Mask

With Laval's Dog Tag in hand, players can now unlock Laval's Locker in Mission Storage. To do this, players need to use Laval's Dog Tag on the locker to open it. The gas mask is inside the locker, and players can now equip it to protect themselves from harmful gases and chemicals.

For first-time players, we recommend turning on the in-game hints to help locate Laval's Dog Tag, avoid the Beast, and find Mission Storage.
