How To Unlock Tesla Gun in Abyssus

In DoubleMoose Games' roguelite title Abyssus, players can equip a diverse arsenal of weapons, each offering a distinct feel and firing style. The Shotgun, a powerful tool for close-quarters combat, is typically the first new weapon you'll discover in Act 1. Your next major objective will be to add the Tesla Gun (or Tesla Rifle) to your collection, a weapon that focuses on electrical damage and excels at short-to-mid-range encounters. Fortunately, this weapon is not missable and becomes available as a part of your standard progression through the game's campaign.Here is a detailed guide on how to unlock the Tesla Gun and integrate it into your strategy in Abyssus.

How to Acquire the Tesla Gun in Abyssus

As noted, the Tesla Gun becomes a permanent unlock as you makesignificant progress in your expedition. You will find this weaponimmediately after defeating the mini-boss in Act 2, Stage 2 (Depth 6). This elite enemy is located within the "Gardens" area of the game.

Once you have successfully defeated this mini-boss, the Tesla Gun willappear on the ground next to the exit portal that leads to the nextstage. Simply walk over and pick up the weapon to add it to yourpermanent arsenal. While you will unlock it and be able to see it inyour weapon collection, you won't be able to use it immediately in therun you found it. To equip it for a future expedition, you must firstreturn to the main hub area and select it from the weapon workbenchbefore beginning your next dive.

The Tesla Gun is an electrical-based weapon that unleashes a constantstream of charged energy. Its primary fire rapidly deals shock damage,effectively chipping away at enemy health bars. This sustained damageoutput is excellent for bosses and other high-health targets.
