What is Perfect Assist?



Perfect Assist is a crucial combat mechanic in Zenless Zone Zero that allows you to quickly take a portion of your enemy's HP meter, while also leaving them vulnerable to your follow-up attacks. It is one of the two main abilities to evade enemy attacks, but unlike defensive dodge, Perfect Assist allows you to go on the offensive.

How to trigger a perfect Assist in Zenless Zone Zero?



Activating Perfect Assist is relatively simple



Watch Enemy Attacks: Pay attention to enemy attacks that turn gold/orange. These are the times when you can perform a Perfect Assist.Use the Switch Button at the Right Time: Depending on your platform, the Switch button will be:
  • Spacebar (Keyboard)
  • RB (PlayStation Controller)
  • The infinity sign in the right corner of the screen (Mobile Devices)

Perform the Action: By activating the Perfect Assist at the right time, your character will deal a powerful blow to the enemy, interrupting their attack and filling the stun meter.

Perfect Assist Types



There are two types of Perfect Assists you can perform:

  • Defensive Assist: Exclusive to melee characters. Allows you to counterattack and stop enemy attacks, filling the stun meter.
  • Evasive Assist: Exclusive to ranged characters. Allows you to dodge the enemy attack and enter Vital View, where time slows down and you can deal massive damage with your attack button.


Assist Follow-Up



Assist Follow-Up is an extension of the Perfect Assist in Zenless Zone Zero. After activating a defensive assist, quickly press the attack button to perform a follow-up assist and deal considerable damage to enemies.

  • Combo attacks cannot trigger a follow-up assist, but they can trigger a defensive assist to stop all incoming hits from enemies.
