If you've stumbled upon the official gameplay previews Shulk puts on a new outfit in the Future Connected epilogue. Instead of your usual base game clothes, you'll get a cool jacket and hoodie that you can match with others.
If you want to obtain this style, you will have to play the epilogue of the main game in this section, that is, you will have to return to the original in case you have not done so.
However, the good news is that you don't need to beat Future Connected to unlock it in the main game. All you have to do is play the epilogue until you reach the first checkpoint and save your game. With this done you must save this file and then access this new set.
If you want to save time to advance in the story you can skip the introduction or other scenes from the game, in addition to saving yourself spoilers that can show you in those scenes. Once you regain control of Shulk and Melia, save your game and quit.
When you return to the main game you should open the team menu and go to the Change Shulk Appearance window. Scroll to the end and you will find the Monado Style outfit available to you.
With this guide on How to get Monado style in Xenoblade Chronicles you can add the new special set for your character. Good luck!
