Here are a couple of questions. Are you currently single? And do you love Xbox gaming? If you fall into the category of being a plus sized gamer who is also seeking romance, do you sometimes find it difficult to connect with someone suitable? Have you tried going online? You’ll easily track down a
dating site for plus size singles – there are so many of these to choose from, catering to an increasing audience of enthusiastic candidates! The chat rooms are always busy with exciting discussions about the best Xbox games to play. Once you've connected with someone in this digital environment, you could always choose from this list of the five best action games to play!
Resident Evil II
Two months on from the apocalyptic events portrayed in its predecessor, Resident Evil, you are in Raccoon City, where the residents have been transformed into lethal zombies by a biological weapon. As well as opportunities for shoot-em-up action, Resident Evil II features a lot of exploration of the dangerous landscapes, and the opportunity to solve puzzles. A noticeable progression from the previous incarnation is branching paths, allowing you to influence the way the storylines can unfold. But best of all is the non-stop white-knuckle action.
Cuphead
After all that futuristic gore, how about we shift the pace down a bit and enjoy some escapist fun?! Created by Chad and Jared Moldenhauser, the theme of this superb and unique animation is the Jazz Age of the 1930s. Unlike many of the pristine computer-generated graphics associated with contemporary Xbox games, much of the design here is deliberately imperfect. The soundtrack is also perfect for invoking the charmingly retro spirit. So grab the controls, and make sure that Cuphead and his brother Mugman fight their way to the next level, gaining new powers as the gameplay unfolds.
Monster Hunter: World
In many ways the polar opposite to Cuphead, this game involves role-playing against the meticulously-rendered backdrop of a fantastical alternative universe. You are tasked with hunting and either trapping or vanquishing a series of lurid monsters roaming across the landscape. Your endeavours are rewarded by being given equipment or weapons upgrades, making it possible for you to tackle even deadlier creatures. There's also a multiplayer option, giving you the ability to collaborate as teams as you hunt your enemies.
Doom Eternal
Another first-person shooter for your Xbox date night, this is the fifth instalment of the massively successful
Doom franchise. The premise is straightforward. You are in charge of the Doomslayer, who has been tasked with a mission to save humanity in the face of the evil alien Maykr's plans to exterminate the human species and restore Hell's consumption of Earth. There are other play options, such as the ability to switch to Battlemode, where you can assume the role of Doomslayer or a demon. Then you can fight on until you triumph as one or the other entity. You'll find the gameplay smoothly addictive – Doom Eternal has been praised by fans and critics alike, winning The Game Awards for 2020.
Outer Wilds
This intriguing Xbox adventure sees players taking control of characters exploring a solar system, but events are set to a 22-minute time loop. The conclusion of this period is nothing short of spectacular, as the sun eventually evolves into an explosive supernova. It's up to you to keep exploring your surroundings as you search for clues to explain why reality has been trapped in this cyclical time loop. Winner of the British Academy Games Award for Best Game, this would be the ideal way to conclude your date night.
