In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the
Madness system plays a crucial role in shaping your combat experience. Every time you die, your
Madness level increases, leading to higher damage dealt—and received—at maximum stacks. Certain skills even require specific Madness thresholds to unlock. To manage this mechanic, players must obtain
Divine Gift and
Fragment of the Divine Gift, two essential items that help reset Madness.
This guide explains
how to get both items, where to use them, and the best strategies to farm them efficiently.
How to Get Divine Gift in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
The
Divine Gift is a rare item that can be obtained in
Shu Sanctum. Here’s how to acquire it:
Pay Respects at the Shu God Statue- Upon entering Shu Sanctum, you’ll find a statue with the prompt: "Pay Your Respects Before the God of Shu’s Statue."
- Repeatedly interacting with it does nothing until you perform the Worship Gesture.
- Once you do, you’ll receive your first Divine Gift.
Speak to Qiao Ying- Head upstairs in Shu Sanctum and talk to Qiao Ying, who stands near a golden statue.
- After the dialogue, you’ll obtain a second Divine Gift, which can be used anytime.
How to Farm Fragment of the Divine Gift
Unlike the Divine Gift,
Fragments of the Divine Gift can be farmed repeatedly. Here’s the best method:
Max Out Your Madness- Use the Invoke feature at any Shrine—this instantly fills your Madness meter while granting bonus items.
- Alternatively, die multiple times until Madness reaches maximum.
Die Near a Shrine & Defeat the Humanoid Enemy- Once Madness is full, die near a Shrine to trigger a special mechanic.
- Upon revival, a Humanoid enemy will spawn—defeat it to reclaim lost Red Mercury.
- This enemy has a chance to drop a Fragment of the Divine Gift (and sometimes Plumed Branch).
Purchase from Vendors (Alternative Method)- Tao Qing (Shu Sanctum) sells 5 Fragments for 500 Red Mercury each.
- Wu Gang offers them for 5,000 Red Mercury—significantly more expensive.
How to Use Divine Gift & Fragments
Once you have either item, head to any golden statue (found in various locations). Interacting with it provides two key options:
- Hand over a Divine Gift → Fully resets Madness.
- Hand over a Fragment → Reduces Madness (but doesn’t fully clear it).
Why Reset Madness?
- High Madness increases incoming damage, making combat riskier.
- Some players prefer a balanced playstyle over high-risk, high-reward combat.
- The Humanoid enemy can be tough, so resetting Madness avoids unnecessary fights.
Bonus Tip: Trinity Bell
- The Trinity Bell also resets Madness but should be saved—an NPC in Shu Sanctum requests it later.
Final Tips for Efficient Farming
✔ Farm Fragments early—they help manage Madness in tougher fights.
✔ Use Invoke at Shrines for quick Madness boosts and extra loot.
✔ Prioritize Tao Qing’s shop—500 Red Mercury per Fragment is a fair price.
By mastering the Madness system and efficiently using Divine Gifts & Fragments, you’ll gain better control over Wuchang: Fallen Feathers’ challenging combat.
