Here's a guide on where to find it, how to reel it in, and what you can do with this peculiar aquatic creature:
V Rising 1.1: Catching and Utilizing the Rare Corrupted Fish
If you're looking to maximize your fishing efficiency in V Rising 1.1, the
Corrupted Fish is a rare and interesting catch you'll definitely want to keep an eye out for. Here's the lowdown on how to acquire and utilize this unique fish:
Where to Find Corrupted Fish in V Rising 1.1
Corrupted Fish isn't found just anywhere. You'll primarily want to focus your fishing efforts in these specific locations:
- Oakveil Woodlands: This region is a known habitat for Corrupted Fish.
- Brighthaven Docks: You also have a chance to hook Corrupted Fish while fishing at the Brighthaven Docks.
Keep in mind that Corrupted Fish is rare, so you might need to spend some time casting your line in these areas. Thankfully, you can carry up to
10 of them in a single inventory stack.
How to Catch Corrupted Fish in V Rising 1.1
Before you can start fishing for Corrupted Fish (or any fish, for thatmatter), you'll need the right equipment and the know-how:
Craft a Fishing Pole: You'll need a Fishing Pole, which can be crafted at a Woodworking Bench.Woodworking Bench Unlock: To gain access to the Woodworking Bench, you must first defeat Rufus the Foreman in the Farbane Woods. Fishing Pole Unlock: Once you have the Woodworking Bench, you'll need to defeat Finn the Fisherman in the Dunley Farmlands to unlock the Fishing Pole recipe itself. Crafting the Fishing Pole: You can craft the Fishing Pole either directly from your inventory (if you have the recipe) or at the Woodworking Bench. Crafting from your inventory is generally quicker and easier. You'll need the following materials:- 120x Wood
- 4x Coarse Thread
Equip Your Fishing Pole: Once crafted, equip the Fishing Pole from your inventory.Find a Fishing Spot: Head to a body of water in either the Oakveil Woodlands or the Brighthaven Docks and look for bubbling fish pools. These indicate active fishing spots. Cast Your Line: Approach a bubbling fish pool and left-click to cast your line into the water.Reel in Your Catch: Watch the water closely. When you see the water splash, quickly left-click again to reel in whatever you've caught. This could be a fish (hopefully a Corrupted Fish!) or sometimes even other types of loot.Persistence is key when fishing for rare catches like the Corrupted Fish. Keepcasting your line in the designated areas, and eventually, you'll reelone in.
How to Use Corrupted Fish in V Rising 1.1
Now that you've managed to catch some Corrupted Fish, here's what you can do with this unusual resource:
- Feeding Prisoners (Random Effects): You can feed Corrupted Fish to a Prisoner in a Prison Cell.5 However, be warned: the effects are entirely random. Feeding Corrupted Fish can:
- Increase or decrease their health anywhere from 0% to 100%.
- Raise their misery by up to 25%.
- Slightly change their blood quality by 0% to 2%.
While the effects are unpredictable, the interesting (and potentially risky) part is that repeatedly feeding enough Corrupted Fish to a prisoner can eventually raise their Blood Quality all the way up to 100%. Just be aware that there's a small 1% chance the prisoner could die each time you feed them Corrupted Fish. It's a gamble!
- Putting in a Blood Press: A more reliable use for Corrupted Fish is processing it in a Blood Press. Doing so will yield the following resources:
- 12x Venom Sap
- 2x Fish Bone
So, whether you're feeling lucky and want to try and maximize a prisoner'sBlood Quality (at your own risk) or need a steady supply of Venom Sapand Fish Bones, the Corrupted Fish is a valuable, albeit peculiar, resource to acquire in V Rising 1.1. Happy fishing!
