Dismantling is a feature whereby you can break down unwanted gears and items to resources that become useful in upgrading your current equipment and creating more items, or even exchanging them with other players. You clean up your inventory, increase the capability of your Ace, and advance through the game much faster since constant dismantling of what you don't need will do.
How to Dismantle Gear & Items in Towerborne?
To activate Forge and Bumble in Towerborne, complete the first Primary quest. This will grant you access to the Belfry, which will be quite easy to access near the middle of town. Walk up to the anvil icon near him, and select an item you'd like to dismantle from the Dismantle menu.
Dismantling aspects or equipment yields Basic Spirit Dust, which is used to upgrade both equipment and weapons. Higher-level items drop more Spirit Dust than low-level items. For example, dismantling a high-level Aspect can yield 8 to 12 Basic Spirit Dust, while lower-level ones yield 6 to 10.
Strategically dismantle items you no longer need, maximizing the gain of Spirit Dust. This will provide the much-needed resource to enhance equipment and move further in the game. Keep in mind that the more Basic Spirit Dust one collects, the stronger one's gear can become.
Bulk Dismantling Mastery
To take apart more than one thing at a time, enable the Mark Mode in the Dismantle menu. Now you are able to select and mark any number of items you want to dismantle at once. You notice that each of the items you have selected will bear a red scratch mark.
Mark all you want, then quit Mark Mode and begin the Bulk Dismantle. This will make dismantling unwanted items so fast, thus keeping your Inventory neat and tidy.
Periodically cleaning out the extra stuff, you won't let your Inventory get too clogged. This will not only improve your experience in playing this game but also ensure you don't miss any rewards you may receive by completing missions, challenges, or opening chests.
