Where to Find the Caduceus in Titan Quest 2

In Titan Quest 2, the world is filled with hidden quest items that lead to rewarding mini-quests. While these quests often provide little to no direction, solving them is a great way to earn experience, gold, and new gear. One such quest revolves around the Caduceus, a large staff that unlocks a riddle about the trickster god, Hermes.This guide will show you where to find the Caduceus and how to use it to complete "The Trickster's Shrine" quest.

Titan Quest 2:  Where to Find the Caduceus

The Caduceus is located in a small bandit camp in the Southern Flooded Farmland area, northeast of the city of Pyrgos.

• Location: The camp is situated in a marshy area. You can get there by either traversing the swamp directly from Pyrgos or by looping north while following the general direction of "The Search For the Sky God" quest and then heading east.
• Acquisition: The staff is in the middle of the small bandit camp. Once you've defeated the few enemies guarding it, you can pick up the Caduceus.

How to Use the Caduceus to Start the Quest

Once you have the staff, you need to take it to the Shrieking Shrine.

• Shrine Location: The Shrieking Shrine is located northwest of Pyrgos, further north than the bandit camp where you found the Caduceus.
• Starting the Quest: Take the Caduceus to the center of the shrine and place it into the pedestal. This will begin the quest "The Trickster Shrine."

The Trickster's Shrine Riddle

The quest requires you to solve a riddle about Hermes. The key to the riddle is found on a mostly destroyed scroll near some pots to theright of the pedestal. The answer is a turtle.

• The Task: Hermes turned a beast into a lyre, and that beast was a turtle. Yourgoal is to find a turtle and lure it back to the shrine to perform aspecial ritual.

Completing the Quest

Find a Turtle: Head south from the Shrieking Shrine, and you will find several turtle enemies in the area.

• Tip: If you have already defeated all the nearby turtles, simply save and reload your game from the main menu to respawn them.

Lure it to the Shrine: You must lure a turtle back to the shrine without killing it on theway. The turtles are not particularly fast or dangerous. Simply stay ashort distance in front of it, and it will follow you.

The Ritual: Once the turtle gets close enough to the shrine's central altar, itwill begin to glow. This indicates that it is safe to kill the turtle.

Claim Your Reward: Killing the glowing turtle will complete the quest. The central altarwill then burst with rewards, throwing out a generous amount of gold and other potential loot for you to collect.
