Two Large Metal Crates Puzzle in The Plucky Squire
Room 1: The Initial Encounter
- As you progress through Chapter 9, you'll encounter a room filled with enemies. Among the clutter, you'll find two large metal crates.
- Dispatch the enemies to clear the room.
- Once the coast is clear, head to the far right side of the room. There, you'll find Minibeard, a helpful character who can provide guidance to new players. However, in this instance, Minibeard's advice about breaking the crates is irrelevant.
Room 2: Unveiling the Hidden Path
- Ascend the stairs and stand on the nearby yellow crate. This action will trigger a revelation: a new path will become visible on the map.
- Follow this newly discovered path, and prepare for another encounter with enemies. Defeat them to lower a monstrous wall, revealing a hidden text.
- Interact with the button on the wall to lower a yellow door. Then, focus on the word "three" in the revealed text.
- Pick up the "three" and swap it with the "two" from the text on the floor. This seemingly simple action will have a significant impact: the number of crates in the room will increase to three.
Room 3: The Diamond Dilemma
- Retrace your steps back up the stairs and through the yellow door. You'll find two enemies guarding a diamond bust of Humgrump.
- Defeat these enemies, and then turn your attention to the text beneath the bust. Swap the word "diamond" with "metal." This will transform the metal crates into diamond crates, a crucial step in your journey.
- Use the green portal located near the yellow door to exit the book. Once outside, utilize the Stop Stamp on the crate positioned in the top-left corner.
- Tilt the left side of the book, causing the other two crates to slide to the right. Then, tilt the right side, causing them to slide to the left.
Room 4: The Final Puzzle
- Return to the location where you previously took the "three." Use the two diamond crates on the left side as a bridge to reach the final body of text.
- Interact with the text and swap the word "broken" with "diamond." This will cause the three crates to break, leaving holes at the top.
- Exit the book once more and employ your Bomb Stamp to destroy the crates. Hidden within one of these crates lies a key that will unlock the blue door to the left, leading you to the next area.
Optional Achievement: A Collector's Quest
- For players seeking additional challenges and rewards, there's an optional achievement available.
- After cracking the bust of Humgrump by using the "broken" text, hit it with your sword. This action will reward you with a piece of art and an achievement, adding to your overall progress.
