Getting followers can greatly enhance your gaming experience, especially when facing tough enemies. In this guide, we'll show you how to craft and effectively use a Simple Jammer to recruit NPCs as your followers. So grab your Iron Ingots, Tape, and Ether Shards, and let's dive into it!

To create a Simple Jammer, gather Iron Ingots, Tape, and Ether Shards. These materials can usually be found or obtained through various in-game activities. Iron Ingots can be smelted from Iron Ore, which is commonly found in caves or mined from mountains. Tape can be crafted using Cloth and Adhesive, both of which can be obtained from looting or trading with other players. Ether Shards can be found by defeating certain high-level enemies or completing specific quests.

Crafting the Simple Jammer requires a crafting station, such as a workbench or an anvil. Place the required materials in the crafting interface and follow the recipe to create the Simple Jammer. Once crafted, it will be added to your inventory, ready to be used.

The number of Single Jammers you should have prepared depends on the level of enemies you are facing. For low-level enemies, it's advisable to have around 8-10 Single Jammers. However, for higher-level enemies, you'll need more than double that number. This ensures that you have enough Jammers to incapacitate and recruit multiple NPCs.

Before engaging enemies and attempting to recruit them as followers, there are a few preparations you should make. Firstly, unlock the Simple Jammer on the Tech tree to gain access to this handy tool. This will enable you to craft and use the Simple Jammer effectively. Additionally, make sure you bring an ample supply of food. Around 50-100 pieces of cooked meat or berries should be sufficient. These food items will be crucial in maintaining control over your new recruits.

Approach the enemy camp carefully and separate one enemy from the group. It's important to isolate a single enemy to increase the chances of successful recruitment. Use your weapon to damage the enemy until they are incapacitated but not defeated. This can be achieved by carefully managing your attacks and ensuring that the enemy's health remains above zero.

Once the enemy is incapacitated, it's time to use the Simple Jammer. Throw the Simple Jammer at the captured enemy to further incapacitate them. The Jammer emits a signal that disrupts the enemy's abilities to resist or escape. This will allow you to open their inventory and access their preferences.

Within the captured enemy's inventory, check the Favorite Foods tab. This tab will display the enemy's preferred foods. Take note of their preferences as this will come in handy later. Different NPCs have different preferences, and providing them with their favorite foods will increase their obedience and loyalty towards you.

After capturing an enemy and using the Simple Jammer, you will notice two important bars in their inventory: Chaos and Obedience. Over time, both bars will decrease gradually for your captive NPC. To ensure successful recruitment, you need to supply enough food to reach 100% Obedience before the Chaos bar hits 0.

If you notice that the Chaos bar is low and nearing 0, it's essential to take action to maintain control over the captive NPC. Use another Simple Jammer to raise the Chaos bar. This will temporarily increase the chaos and confusion experienced by the NPC, allowing you to assert your dominance and maintain control.

Once the Obedience bar reaches 100%, the captive NPC will regain their feet, indicating their readiness to join you as a follower. At this point, you can interact with them and select the "Subdue" option to make them your loyal follower. They will follow you, aid you in battles, and obey your commands.
