- Basic Scarecrow: This can be crafted after the player achieves Farming Level 1. This particular scarecrow is going to protect an area that includes up to 249 tiles in a circular shape from crows. Once you've achieved the required farming level, your recipe is going to include 50 Wood, 1 Coal, and 20 Fiber to create the item.
- Rarecrows: These eight rare scarecrows differ only in appearance and otherwise work like the basic scarecrow. The ways of obtaining them: festivals (Stardew Valley Fair, Spirit's Eve), Casino (Qi Coins), traveling cart Fall/Winter, Flower Dance, Dwarf and Museum through artifact donations.
- Deluxe Scarecrow: This is a much better scarecrow, with a protection radius twice the normal size; 888 tiles is a very impressive figure. First, you've got to find all eight Rarecrows, which unlocks the crafting recipe. After that there's a 90.5% chance each night that a letter containing the recipe will show up in the mail. Its crafting recipe calls for 50 Wood, 1 Iridium Ore and 40 Fiber.
