How To Find the Gauss Rifle in Stalker 2

Stalker2: Heart of Chornobyl has a plethora of firearms, but few are quite as unique as the Gauss Rifle. While it's in a late-game zone, there is a way to obtain this weapon early, and here's how.
On the eastern edge of the base, near an excavator, is a break in thebarrier blocking the train tracks. Jump through it and start runningstraight towards Pripyat. If you go northwest, you'll end up in thecity. Off the edge of the map, there's an unpaved road.
Onceinside Pripyat, continue following the route to find the PrometheusMovie Theater. Stay away from any open blue doors. Nearby is anotherdoor, but it's locked. The official objective in the game is to enterfrom the inside, but you can bypass this with a trick. Bring a grenade into the room by standing near the locked door and rolling itdown. Keep in mind that rolling, not throwing, the grenade is thecorrect move. Get yourself as near to the entrance as possible so thebomb can roll past the barrier and go off inside.
Before I couldenter the facility, I actually set off five grenades. It's openable from the other side of the door if you remove the rubble covering it. TheGauss Rifle is on the wood desk on your right as you face it.
As a weapon, it is absolutely exclusive and can only be employed within thezone. This is not a conventional weapon with batteries that replace theuse of conventional ammunition. The rather poor fire rate is more thanoffset by its range and accuracy.
