How to Equip Artifacts in Stalker 2

Gather a Detector from the loot of one of the scientists that perished, Petro Yerokin, during the 'There and Back Again' main plot task in Stalker 2. Fortunately, the anomaly is located just outside the facility, so you may use the signal to locate it after you've gotten the Detector.
The next step is to locate an Artifact in the anomalous area using the Detector you just obtained. You can discover it next to the green goo near the side of the barrel. Although this aim is not particularly difficult, locating the Artifact can be challenging for those who have never done it before.
Finding the anomalous field is as easy as following the yellow exclamation mark on your compass. The closer you approach the detector, the more it will beep. The item, a slug, should show up above one of the radioactive patches if you head to the barrel's left side. As you approach it, a request to pick it up will appear. When you pick up the ooze, quickly step back from it so you don't keep taking radioactive damage.
Holding the left shoulder button (consoles) brings the Detector to the bottom left (left directional button), which you can use in case you inadvertently switch your item or weapon and aren't sure how to return it.
You can now equip the Artifact in your inventory after grabbing it. After opening it using the directional pad on Xbox or the i key on PC, all you have to do is place the Slug artifact into the inventory slot that is located above Stalker 2's Quick Access bar. Press the left analog stick (Xbox) or the Q button (PC) to access the Equipment menu if it isn't already open.
