Stalker 2: How to complete the On the Edge side mission
Upon receiving the radio call from Gaffer requesting assistance, make your way to Zalissya and enter the building indicated by the mission objective. To your immediate left, you'll find Gaffer, ready to engage in conversation with you. When asked, extend your assistance and choose the prompt "What are you suggesting?" to initiate the mission.
Head straight to the location indicated on your PDA, or feel free to dive into some optional side activities along the way. Here’s a comprehensive list of all the optional quests available for you to tackle. Begin your journey by entering the back room and engaging in conversation with Warlock. Engage in conversation with him to reveal the extra objectives.
- Assist Warlock in reclaiming his cherished weapon known as "Partner" from a nearby garage. After obtaining it, you can either hand it over to Warlock for a reward or choose to keep it for your own use.
- Make your way to the bunker located directly across from the building, where you'll encounter Hamster and a soldier who are fiercely urging you to leave. Confront both foes, exit the vicinity, or secure the soldier's allegiance for 6,000 coupons. The selected path will undoubtedly fulfill this objective.
- Make your way to a nearby ridge to eliminate more Monolithian scouts.
- Engage in conversation with Mykolaich in the main hall, where he will request that you obtain a medkit. The objective requires you to visit one of three nearby locations, where you'll need to pick up an item and return it. This task is known as "Ask Stalkers of Zalissya if they need any help."
After selecting any optional objectives you'd like to tackle, make your way to the designated location the residence of the former guide, Uncle Lyonlya. Approach the marker with caution, as the entry door is equipped with a trip wire. Deactivate it and proceed indoors.
As soon as you step inside, go ahead and gather every item that catches your eye. Step into the adjoining room to discover a lootable corpse and a radio resting on a box. Engage with the radio to uncover a message from Lyonlya, disclosing his hidden role as a double agent for the Monoliths. Get ready, because a gunfight is about to unfold, and your mission is to take down Lyonlya.
After you've defeated him, return to the main hall in Zalissya and talk to Gaffer to complete the mission. A SEVA suit will be provided to you by Gaffer as a reward for defeating Lyonlya. After a while, the mission will make a comeback, featuring a message from Gaffer seeking help to combat the Monoliths.
At this stage of the mission, you're more likely to encounter the bug mentioned earlier, so make your way to Zalissya without delay. Support the troops in dismantling the Monolith assault, and the operation will come to a successful end.
