If you’re looking to get started with planting seeds in Sons of the Forest, here’s what you need to know.

First, you’ll need to acquire seeds. Exploring the forest and picking up plants is a great way to do this. You’ll often find the seeds of the plants you pick up, so make sure to pick up multiple plants when you explore.

To begin planting, open the Crafting Book with the ‘B’ key and switch to the Gardening mode. Here, you’ll find two planters to craft: the Wall Planter and the Standing Planter. The Wall Planter requires 16 sticks, while the Standing Planter takes 18. The Standing Planter is the simpler of the two, as it doesn’t need a base.

Once you’ve built your Standing Planter, press the 'E' key near it and choose the seeds you’d like to plant. The seeds will take 2-3 days to grow and you can then harvest them. Be sure to water them regularly so they don’t dry out.

You can also use a compost bin to speed up the process of planting. Place the compost bin near your planter and add organic material such as leaves, straw, and wood chips. This will help the soil retain moisture and will encourage the growth of your plants.

Remember to be mindful when planting in Sons of the Forest. Planting too close together may lead to overcrowding, so be sure to space out your plants so they can get enough sunlight and air.

Planting seeds in Sons of the Forest is a great way to add some color to your forest adventures. Not only will it make the game more aesthetically pleasing, but you can also use it to cultivate a variety of plants. Plus, it’s a fun way to pass the time while exploring the forest. So, next time you’re out in the wilds of Sons of the Forest, make sure to pick up some seeds and get planting!
