Revenge of The Savage Planet: How To Capture Alien

Capturing alien creatures is not just a fun side activity in Revenge of the Savage Planet; it's a crucial part of your mission to understand the bizarre ecosystems of the planets you explore and, ultimately, find your way back home. With the trusty Proton Whip in hand, you can lasso a wide variety of species across the game's four distinct worlds.

Mastering the Art of Alien Capture

In Revenge of the Savage Planet, the tool you'll use to capture alien creatures is the Proton Whip. You'll acquire this essential device during the quest aptly named "My First Rodeo." Simply follow the objectives of this quest, and it will lead you directly to the container where the Proton Whip is stored.Once you have the Proton Whip, the capture process is generally straightforward:
  • Equip the Proton Whip: Make sure it's your active tool.
  • Hold the Lasso Button: Press and hold the designated button for using the Whip. Your character will charge the whip for a lasso throw.
  • Approach Your Target: Carefully move towards the alien creature you wish to capture.
  • Initiate Capture: As you get close enough, release the lasso button to throw the Proton Whip at the creature.
  • Maintain Stillness: Once the whip has latched onto the creature, continue holding the lasso button to pull it towards you. Crucially, remain still and avoid taking any damage during this pulling process.
  • The Vortex: If you successfully remain still and undamaged while pulling the creature, a vortex will appear. This vortex will then suck the creature in, completing the capture and adding it to your collection.

  • Dealing with Tougher Critters:Not all alien life will willingly submit to your lasso. Some of the larger or more aggressive creatures will require a bit more finesse. For these tougher species, you'll often need to hit their weak spot to stun them first before you can successfully use the Proton Whip to capture them. Remember to use your scanner to identify those vulnerable points!
