With our help you will see that knowing How to use the Crop Sample in Remnant 2 is easier than you think.
While going through Remnant 2, you'll find a lot of unique items. Once you've fired up The Dark Horizon DLC, you'll find new environments to explore and, of course, more rewards to find. One of these items that you might be confused about is an item called the Crop Sample.
As you progress through The Dark Horizon DLC, you can find a Crop Sample which gives a few rewards depending on how you want to use it. The usage of it can be a bit confusing, and which reward you will want to get first will be one tough decision. Thankfully we are able to lead you to the correct direction to choose any prize. Here is the basic information on how to use the Crop Sample feature in Remnant 2.
How to use the Crop Sample in Remnant 2
Once you've obtained the Crop Sample from the Detritus Foundry in Remnant 2, you'll be given a plethora of choices that reward you with a lot of things. You will see them hanging downstairs, which you can reach using the elevator beside them. Go down with it, and down below, you'll find two statues-one red on the left, one blue on the right. Which statue you put the Crop Sample in determines your reward, but you can always simply reset your run through The Dark Horizon to find it again for a different reward.
You trigger a boss when you give the Crop Sample to the red statue on the left called The Inverted Shambler. You need to defeat this in order to get the Repercussion Mutator as a prize for your Remnant 2 character. You might lose this, and you will have to fight again to get the Mutator. With the Repercussion Mutator attached to your gun, every use of the Primary Fire gives you one Repercussion stack, increasing your weapon's Ranged Damage by three percent; you can stack this up to five times.
The reward behind the blue statue to the right is a very valuable artifact called the Gossamer Heart. This attaches to your Remnant 2 character and adds one frame to the base evasion duration. The passive effect of this Gossamer Heart artifact extends the enhanced evasion time for two extra frames, for a period of 15 seconds. Picking this variant doesn't spawn enemies, which is useful if you get injured while progressing through the game.
There are other rewards, however, that you can gain from the Crop Sample. You don't need to use it on these statues, but you can return this item to Ward 13. If you do, speak with the cook mixing the concoction in the pot next to Reggie. He asked if you could add anything else to further complete his recipe, and your Remnant 2 might have mentioned the Crop Sample. In return, you will unlock the Numbing Agent-consumable item that you will be able to purchase later on. The item allows you to take an extra hit from enemies before depleting your Grey Health. This effect will last for 60 minutes, or until your character dies.
There is simply no reason to wait around for this thing to spawn in Ward 13. Indeed, you'll have to wait until later in your Remnant 2 playthrough to pick this up.
The final option is to plant it in the garden located within Ward 13. Locate it buried in that part of the garden bed and transfer it to that area where a Root-like sprout is just starting to sprout. By doing this, another will pop up in that location, and you'll need to hunt down another as you progress through Remnant 2 to unlock this special reward. We are trying to figure out what the reward for this is, but if you want to, the other three are available to claim now before putting another Crop Sample in this area.
That's all there is to know about How to use the Crop Sample in Remnant 2, you just have to apply what is indicated to take advantage of this element of the game.
