. Add Friends is the social part of PlayStation where you can share and update your current game progress. In this guide we will help you how to invite friends to PS5 correctly as well as teach you how to take a look at their privacy functions.
To invite your friend you will first need to press the PlayStation button on the DualSense controller once to open the PS5 menu. Go to Game Base, fourth icon at the bottom. In the game's base menu, press Circle to open the Create Group menu. Select Go to Game Base and the fourth option Search.
Enter your friend's PS5N ID in the search box and select the player profile below. Select Add friend on the next screen and your friend will receive an invitation request.It also allows you to create parties if you have several friends to add to, this being a group in which you can classify your friends according to your favorite game. For example, if you are playing Fortnite, you can create a Fortnite Party and invite a group of friends.
In case you are the guest and you want to accept an invitation, you must be on the same Game Base screen, go to the Friend Request tab, there you will be able to check the latest invitations sent by your friend.
In case you receive a request from an unknown profile, you can block that person instantly. To do this select the profile and go to the right corner. Select the three dots, you will see the option Report or Block. From the same menu in the right corner, you can instantly start an audio chat or send a message to a friend.
By following the steps above, you can add friends to PS5. You can also search and invite your friend or accept any incoming invitation. All settings related to friend requests are moved to Game Base, in the new user interface of PlayStation 5.
