How to play multiplayer with friends in Project Zomboid?

The first thing you have to know is that the multiplayer option of the game is not available by default, so you will have to follow some steps to enable it.

The first step is to make sure you don't use any mods, so if you have any you will have to disable it.

Then you will have to install Beta 41. So go to Steam> look in the game library> right click on the game,> click on properties> access BETAS> select b41multiplayer from the menu and after installing restart the game so that multiplayer mode works.

If you want to host your server, you will have to go to the main menu> click on Host> click on the configuration option to create the server and that's it. You will be able to invite your friends or be invited to a server after this through Steam.

To search for a dedicated server, you will have to enter the name or IP address in the Internet tab, where you can also find all the active servers.

You can also select Join from the main menu and search the list of servers manually to find a server.

Note that you will require at least 4GB of memory to keep your server running smoothly, and another 200MB per player for any additional players joining the server.
