How To Get the Inverted Eyes in PEAK

In PEAK, cosmetic items are a way to show off your in-game accomplishments, and the Inverted Eyes are no exception. This unique cosmetic upgrade is not found in a chest but is earned by completing one of the game's more unsettling objectives. To get your hands on this prize, you must first earn the Mentorship Badge, also known as the Scoutmaster Badge.This guide will walk you through the process of unlocking the badge and, by extension, the Inverted Eyes.

Understanding the Mentorship Badge

The Mentorship Badge is an accolade that is directly tied to an encounter with the terrifying Scoutmaster, a towering skeletal creature that enforces the first rule of mountain climbing: never leave a scout behind. The Scoutmaster will appear to "punish" any player who strays too far from their group.The objective is simple: survive a one-on-one encounter with the Scoutmaster. This encounter usually ends with the Scoutmaster grabbing and throwing you off the mountain, which counts as successfully completing the objective.

How to Summon the Scoutmaster

There are two primary ways to make the Scoutmaster appear, depending on whether you are playing in multiplayer or solo mode.

Method 1: The Multiplayer Method (Easiest)

This is the most straightforward way to get the badge.

Start a Multiplayer Game: This method requires at least one other player. It is often recommended that the host of the game be the one to attempt the badge, as therehave been reports of the achievement being bugged for non-hosts.

Separate from Your Group: The Scoutmaster is designed to chase anyone who defies his core rule.To summon him, simply leave your friend(s) at the starting area andbegin climbing the mountain by yourself.

Wait for the Encounter: As you climb and gain a significant distance from your teammates, youwill begin to notice a change in the game's atmosphere. The backgroundmusic will change, and a grainy film effect will appear on your screen,becoming more intense as the Scoutmaster gets closer.

Complete the Encounter: Once you are close enough to him, the Scoutmaster will likely grab andthrow you off the mountain. This is a terrifying experience, but once it happens, you will earn the Mentorship Badge.

Method 2: The Solo Method (More Challenging)

If you are playing alone, you cannot simply climb away from your friends. Instead, you must rely on a rare item.

Find the Scoutmaster's Bugle: The Scoutmaster's Bugle is an incredibly rare item that can be found in two places: as a rare drop from Ancient Luggage (the red suitcases) or as a reward from Ancient Statues at the end of each biome. When using a statue, all players must bealive to get the item, otherwise it will revive any downed teammates.

Use the Bugle: Once you have the bugle, simply use it from your inventory. This willimmediately summon the Scoutmaster. He will chase you for a short period before disappearing. The encounter will be logged, and you will earnthe Mentorship Badge.

Claiming Your Reward

Once you have successfully earned the Mentorship Badge, a notification willappear on your screen confirming your achievement. The Inverted Eyes will automatically be added to your inventory as a reward.

To equip your new cosmetic:

Head to the airport.

Open your passport.

Find the Inverted Eyes in the cosmetics menu and select them to wear them with pride.
