• Offline Mode: To begin your hunt for the scrolls, ensure you are playing PEAK in offline mode. This is a crucial step as it affects how the map behaves in relation to the journal entries.
• Speedrun (Optional but Recommended): If you haven't already, completing a speedrun of the game is recommended. While not strictly required for the badge itself, it helps you familiarize yourself with the map layout and climbing mechanics.
• Map Reset Cycle: PEAK's map (island layout) resets every 24 hours. You will need to wait for at least one map reset after you start playing to begin collecting the scrolls efficiently.
• Ascent Mode: The journal entries are found during Ascent mode expeditions.
• Spawn Locations: The journal entries are typically found on the tops of mountains, usually near campfires.
• Collection Limit Per Reset: You can find up to four scrolls in a single 24-hour map reset period. This means you'll need at least two different daily map layouts to collect all eight entries.
• Starting Point: It's recommended to start your scroll discovery from the campfire at the SHORE biome. While you can collect and read the scrolls in any order once they appear, starting here can provide a consistent first point.

Is There a Faster Way To Claim the Bookworm Badge?

Yes, fortunately, there is a known (and potentially temporary) bugthat players can exploit to significantly speed up the process offinding the scrolls.

• The Exploit: Once you discover a journal entry during an Ascent run and read it, immediately create a new run on the same difficulty. You may find that a different journal entry appears at the exact same location as the one you just collected.
• How it Works: This bug allows you to cycle through different journal entries at thesame spawn point within a single daily map reset, bypassing the need towait for subsequent 24-hour resets to find all eight.
• Important Note: This bug is active until the map officially resets for the day. Oncethe daily map reset occurs, the locations will change, and you'll needto find new spawn points for the remaining scrolls.
