Since its launch, Apex Legends has gained great fame in the platforms where it has been available, such as PS4, Xbox One and PC. But all this has not been enough given that right now it has decided to expand its horizon, finally, to a new market through a new platform for the game: mobile devices.

This week, while giving a report from Electronic Arts, its CEO Andrew Wilson revealed that he is currently working on a mobile Apex Legends version, while, simultaneously, EA is in "advanced negotiations" to launch the already famous game battle royale in China.

This new Apex Legends version is not a surprise in itself, it could be said that for some time it was waiting. In the first place, the videogames market  for mobile devices, especially those  the battle royale genre, is extremely broad, for examples there are the mobile versions of Royale Juggernauts, PUBG and Fortnit. Secondly, since the Apex Legends launch it had been said that the desire was for the game to present a multiplatform experience.




Apex Legends: EA's current favorite

During the same report, among the comments given by CEO Andrew Wilson also mentioned that Apex Legends is a game "fastest growth" in all belonging to EA. According to the statistics of EA, the battle royale game  reached 50 million players, where almost 30% of these are "new for EA", which is very beneficial for the company.

Commenting on how good Apex Legends has been for EA, Wilson said: "We are incredibly excited and humbled by the passion that fans around the world have for Apex Legends." "We are now very focused on offering this massive global community a long-term live service, which includes new seasons with stronger Battle Pass content, new legends and exciting evolutions in the gaming environment," he continued.

The CEO of EA also added that all this is only the Apex Legends beginning. As a joke, Wilson commented that the first details about season 2 of the battle royale video game will be announced at the next EA Play event in June.





On the other hand, during the comments of this EA report, the company also commented that Anthem, BioWare's new IP, did not meet the expectations they had. However, EA will maintain the commitment that has been raised in terms of expanding and improving this title.
