How To Play Joker in MultiVersus?

Before you start playing as the Joker in MultiVersus, it's important to find the right perks for the crazy villain. You can always try our suggestions or research the benefits you like to create a version that works for you. Just know that the following advantages can combine well with Joker's strengths:

  • Coffeezilla: Lowers the cooldown on abilities, and Joker is a MultiVersus fighter who should heavily lean into his abilities.
  • Triple Jump: As the name implies, the perk helps keep you airborne longer, and when paired with his balloon special, Joker can live all over the map.
  • Make It Rain, Dog: Increases projectile speed, a must-have for Joker as he has a few projectile moves.
  • Kryptonian Skin: Joker can get a bit squishy if you’re not careful, so coming in with a damage-reducing perk is useful.

Move

How To Use It

How It Works

Dirty Dealer! (Ground)

Neutral + Attack

Joker simply jumps on a pogo stick, which can increase your jump, help you recover, or damage an opponent beneath you.

Everything But The Kitchen Sink! (Ground)

Side + Attack

The Joker hurls objects for a combo attack. It can work at the start of a longer combo chain or to finish one.

Crowbarred! (Ground)

Up + Attack

Uses his crowbar to knock opponents in the air. The move is most effective when charged.

Ballontastic! (Ground)

Up + Special

Uses a balloon to launch himself up, and said balloon is left behind to be used by Joker or allies.

Oh No Pogo! (Aerial)

Down + Attack

Uses a balloon to launch himself up, and said balloon is left behind to be used by Joker or his allies.

Take a Whiff! (Aerial)

Neutral + Special

The charge allows Joker to fire acid from his acid flower. It’s effective for breaking armor.

Lemme At ‘Em! (Aerial)

Side + Attack

A charged-up move using his spring-loaded boxing glove. An efficient way to knock back opponents.

Puttin’ On A Blitz! (Aerial)

Side + Special

Simply a way for Joker to dash forward and knock opponents at the same time.

Tips and tricks for playing Joker in MultiVersus

The best way to play Joker is to balance the paying moves of him. They share the same loading bar, so you'll have to be strategic when using some of them. But one of the best ways to achieve success is to memorize his moves, or more accurately, his rocket cards. If you know who's next in line, you'll know whether you're putting explosives on them or sending them a card that allows you to set up those powerful combos. Also, when playing as the Joker, you'll want to make the most of his ball. It works on the ground and in the air, so you can take it apart if necessary. This is a great way to set up combos or help you (and your allies) move around the map better. For example, Ballontastic followed by Crowbarred opens you up to a ground/air combo. Fly up, then use the balloon to jump and do the "Let me attack them" move.

Joker even does a great job protecting the edges. A move like Oh No Pogo can knock opponents off the map until they completely collapse. Just know that it is very risky because if you are not careful, you may have to sacrifice yourself. And that's usually enough to play a good Joker. Always keep an eye on your charging station and you'll have fun using fun bullets and unique move sets.

Finally, now that we have what is required to play Joker, we just have to do it with what is indicated in this guide and it will be easier for us to improve our performance and progress in the game.
