How to Solve Slippenglide Island Ice Block Puzzle in Mario & Luigi Brothership
Placing the First Ice Block
In order to access the puzzle's entry, you must first shift the first iceblock. To build a bridge and escape the cave, you must drop three ice blocks into the lake. To make the large ice block slide down the route and into the lake, stand on its right side and hammer it. Two more to go after that.
Until they collide with a wall or spike pit, iceblocks will keep moving in the direction you strike them.
They will be destroyed by the spikes, but don't worry, a block that you destroy will return in its original spot, so you can try again.
Get Luigi positioned on the switch by climbing the stairs at the entrance. For this one, Mario is on his own, but Luigi is waiting to press a button that will activate the puzzle's platforms and wall.
To get Mario onto the yellow platform at the top of the steps, Luigi must first hit a switch, and then Mario must step onto it. After that, get Luigi to press the switch once again to return the platform to its initial location. After that, Mario can start hopping from one solid platform to the next across the ice.
Their ice platforms are tri-level. If a platform is smooth, it will crack when you step on it; if it is cracked, it will become entirely cracked; and if it is completely cracked, Mario will fall through it immediately.
To reach the second yellow platform, start on the first one and leap forward, then right, and forward again. Get on the solid platform up ahead and smash the large ice block with your hammer to bring it crashing to the floor.
The steps to get out of this block are as follows:
- To send it southward, strike it from above.
- Make a right-handed hit to send it westward.
- You can move it north one block by hitting it from the bottom.
- You may send it back west by hitting it from the right side.
- To send it soaring southward and out of the room, hit it from above.
- Finally, make a right-handed hit. The following span segment will be formed as it slides to the left and plummets into the lake.
You can make more ice platforms by activating the switch that floats above the second block after it's in place. One block remaining. Return to the main chamber and retrace your steps to the top floor. Put Luigi in charge of the switch and turn it on to return the yellow platform to its starting point.
Methods for Placing the Final Ice Block
Instruct Luigi to press the switch once he reaches the yellow platform. Once it comes to a halt, leap forward three times, and then jump twice to get onto the yellow platform that is moving.
Because this platform can move on its own, you'll have to carefully plan your jumps so that the ice doesn't crumble under you.
Jump to the subsequent level when the platform crosses over, and then use your hammer to smash the ice block to the floor.
You can reach an item box in the upper left corner of the room by making a hard diagonal jump from here. The leap appears insurmountable at first, but it's actually rather manageable with some practice.
In order to place the last ice block, you must follow these steps:
- Get a left-handed hit to send it eastward.
- To send it southward, strike it from above.
- Make a right-handed hit to send it westward.
- To prevent the iceblock from sliding into the spikes to the south, Luigi needs to trigger the switch that pushes the yellow gate into a position where it can't be moved.
- Press down on it from above to send it soaring southward into the yellow gate.
- It can be shifted one space to the west with a left-handed hit.
- To send it southward, strike it from above.
- To make the iceblock slide westward, stand diagonally over the left-hand spikes and smash it from the left.
- To send it northward, hit it from below.
- Make a right-handed hit to send it westward.
- To send it soaring southward and out of the room, hit it from above.
With a right-handed hit, the block will drift westward, crash into the sea, and finish building the iceblock bridge. You have done it again; you have solved another one of life's small iceblock problems.
