How to Find the Foyer Key in Luigi's Mansion 2
Locating the Foyer Key:
- 1. Mudroom Entry: The Foyer Key resides within the Mudroom. This room is positioned near the Entrance, directly opposite the Garage. If it's your initial visit, utilize the Poltergust 5000's suction power (hold X and ZR simultaneously) to eliminate the sheet obstructing the doorway.
- 2. Clandestine Key Placement: Upon entering the Mudroom, you won't immediately notice the key. Look upwards (hold X) to reveal the Foyer Key strategically hidden atop the ceiling fan's blades.
Retrieving the Foyer Key:
- 1. Strategic Suction: Employ the Poltergust 5000's vacuum function (hold ZR while looking up) to spin the ceiling fan rapidly. This dislodges the key, causing it to fall to the floor.
- 2. Key Acquisition: Once the key falls, simply approach and collect it.
Continuing Exploration:
With the Foyer Key in hand, navigate back to the Guard Hall, located north of the Entrance. You'll require this key to unlock the Guard Hall and proceed further.
Additional Insight:
This method mirrors the process for acquiring the Strobulb later in the game. The ghosts will employ the same tactic of hiding the Strobulb on the foyer's ceiling fan. When retrieving the Strobulb after spinning the fan, ensure swift action to secure it before it retracts.
