How to change voice chat settings in Lego Fortnite
Step 1: Open the Settings menu
The first step to changing your voice chat settings in Lego Fortnite is to open the Settings menu. You can do this by clicking on the gear icon located in the top right corner of your screen. Once you click on the gear icon, a drop-down menu will appear, and you should select the Settings option.
Step 2: Navigate to the Sound tab
Once you're inside the Settings menu, you need to navigate to the Sound tab. The Sound tab is where you'll find all of your audio-related settings. You can do this by clicking on the Sound tab located on the left-hand column of the Settings menu.
Step 3: Select Voice Chat
Within the Sound tab, you should select Voice Chat from the left-hand column. This is where you can make changes to your voice chat settings.
Step 4: Choose from various options
You'll now be presented with various options for changing the scope of voice communications with other players. You can choose from Off, Friends Only, Friends and Teammates, or Everyone - depending on how much interaction you want to have with others.
If you want to turn off voice chat completely, select Off. If you want to communicate with your friends only, select Friends Only. If you want to communicate with your friends and teammates only, select Friends and Teammates. If you want to communicate with everyone, select Everyone.
Step 5: Adjust Voice Reporting
If you'd like to capture voice conversations and send audio logs to Epic Games for review, you can adjust Voice Reporting here as well. Voice Reporting is an essential feature that helps the game developers identify and eliminate toxic behavior in the game.
Step 6: Adjust Voice Chat Method
Next up, adjust your Voice Chat Method by opening the mic, pushing to talk, or muting - whichever works best for you. If you select Open Mic, your microphone will always be on, and other players will be able to hear everything you say. If you select Push to Talk, you will need to press a button to activate your microphone, and other players will only hear you when you're speaking. If you select Mute, your microphone will be turned off, and other players will not be able to hear you.
Step 7: Disable/Enable On-screen Notifications
You can also disable or enable on-screen notifications when another player speaks. If you want to be notified when someone is speaking, select Enable. If you don't want to be notified, select Disable.
Step 8: Apply Changes
Once you've made all of your desired changes, press Triangle on PlayStation, X button on Switch, or Y button on Xbox to apply them. This will save your new voice chat settings.
Step 9: Exit Settings Menu
Finally, exit out of the Settings menu and return to playing Lego Fortnite with your new voice chat settings!
