In the center of the Wat Mahathat camp in Sukhothai, you'll discover a temporary tent adorned with an array of tables, one of which features a sizable locked chest. Regrettably, you can't just pull it open, as it features a lock that necessitates a four-digit code.

Beside the chest, a cipher machine awaits, accompanied by an array of lettered reels and documents—each a vital clue in unraveling the enigma of the Counting Letter mystery. It resembles the cipher puzzle found aboard the Kummetz in the Himalayas. This guide will take you step-by-step through the process of obtaining the Counting Letters code in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Indiana Jones: get the Counting Letters code

Unlock the Counting Letters chest with the code 4134. First, grab theBartolomeo’s Challenge document located next to the chest to obtain thecode. The narrative unfolds around a thrilling contest between twosoldiers, Lorenzo and Bartolomeo, as they engage in a battle of wits,each presenting more intricate puzzles than the last. One such challenge is linked to the A Game of Wits chest located in Voss’ Camp, nestled in the northern region of Sukhothai. Bartolomeo provides a solitary hintin the letter: the code JHHS. Next, gather the four codewheels and arrange them in the proper sequence within the ciphermachine. However, as you examine them, you'll observe that only three of the four contain the letters needed to form JHHS. Arrange them on thecipher machine in this sequence, beginning with the left-most slot:

• Slot 1 – C-D-O-A-J-B-S-R
• Slot 2 – A-H-I-G-U-V-Z-Q
• Slot 3 – U-F-H-E-K-T-O-L

Adjust each wheel to display JHH, then lower the machine cover and take noteof the letters in the row beneath – BIE. Remove the C-D-O-A-J-B-S-Rwheel from the first slot and position it in the fourth slot for thefinal letter. Lower the machine cover once more and take note of thelast letter in the row beneath – R.
