How to declare war in Humankind?

The first thing you have to do is go to the Relationship tab > select the Surprise War or Declare War (Formal War) options by clicking on them.

Surprise War is an easier option to declare war, with it you only need enough + 50 WarSupport, so no "Claim" and the corresponding "Demands" will be necessary.

Declaring war (or Formal War) requires +80 War Support or incomplete "Demands" for your "Complaints". So you will be able to use the Declare War button to start a formal war if the other Kingdom rejects any of your Demands.

You should note that militaristic cultures, with an additional balance bonus of 30 war support, and a normal balance of 50 war support), can declare war without problem to other empires, without having to accumulate more war support.

The accumulation of support is the request of the population to wage war against any other Empire. The normal balance of each nation is 50 War Support, while 100 is the highest against an empire. The normal balance is also counted as base balance in peacetime.

A high accumulation of war support will make your population more eager to go to war.
