Learn the role of Warships in Helldivers 2
Several large, round warships have moved into the Saleria Sector-a unique purple color on the war table next to the yellow Terminid and the red Automaton zones. Warships are from the faction called Illuminate and are placed on maps within the big, red circles.
The Warships serve as the source for the Illuminate, much like how Terminid hives and Automaton fabricators work. They are optional to eliminate, unless it is mission-critical to do so. Cleaning out the areas basically makes you clear the playing field of enemies, while rewarding yourself with samples and resupplies of ammunition you spent in the process.
How to Destroy Warships in Helldivers 2?
In Helldivers 2, players can take down Warships by first disabling their blue shield and then tossing a grenade through the entrance. Warships are protected by a blue energy shield that can be temporarily disabled by firing bullets at the vessel.
Continuous small-arms fire will take down the shield, which will allow players to lob a grenade or other explosive through the lighted dock door. It only takes one such explosive, detonated at the door, to completely annihilate the Warship.
You can render the Warship useless by using an Eagle 500kg Bomb or any other explosive Stratagem. The bomb is strong enough to go through the shield, hence shooting the ship isn't necessary, you should just target the ship for maximum damage with the Eagle 500kg Bomb.
In this sense, knowing How to Destroy Warships in Helldivers 2, allows you to eliminate enemy ships, apply it and continue enjoying the game.
