In
Grounded 2, the sequel to the popular survival game, players are once again tasked with surviving in a backyard filled with colossal and dangerous insects. As your character is a miniature human, proper equipment is not just a luxury, but a necessity. Among the various armor sets you can craft, the Roach Armor stands out for its unique blend of defensive capabilities and unconventional healing properties. This guide will provide a detailed walkthrough on how to acquire and utilize the full Roach Armor set to help you thrive in this hostile, insect-filled world.
How to Unlock and Craft the Roach Armor Set
To unlock the recipes for the Roach Armor, you must first gather and analyze specific materials from cockroaches. The full set consists of three pieces: the
Roach Helmet, the
Roach Chestplate, and the
Roach Greaves.
- Roach Chestplate & Roach Greaves: The recipes for these two pieces are unlocked by analyzing a Roach Chunk at a Resource Analyzer.
- Roach Helmet: The recipe for the helmet is unlocked by analyzing a Roach Head.
The best place to hunt for these materials is the
Snackbar Front region, specifically under the large wooden table. Here, you will find both small and large cockroaches. To obtain the necessary Roach Chunks and Roach Heads, you should focus on defeating the larger cockroaches. Once you've collected the required parts and analyzed them, the recipes for the entire Roach Armor set will become available for crafting.
Benefits and Effects of the Roach Armor Set
The Roach Armor is not just about raw defense; it offers powerful set bonuses that can dramatically improve your survivability. When you wear all three pieces of the set, you gain two key perks:
- Adaptive Resistance: This set bonus provides a defensive buff against various damage types, including Venom, Chill, and Sizzle. When you take damage from one ofthese effects, the armor gives you a stacking resistance bonus againstthat specific damage type. The resistance bonus can stack up to fivetimes, making you progressively more resilient to repeated elemental orstatus attacks. This bonus fades once the negative effect wears off, but it's an invaluable tool for mitigating dangerous encounters.
- Feeding Frenzy: A truly unique and convenient perk, "Feeding Frenzy" allows you torestore health by looting corpses. This provides an excellentalternative to traditional healing items, as you can quickly recoverhealth in the midst of a battle by simply defeating an enemy and looting its remains.
The Roach Armor is an ideal choice forplayers who want a durable set with built-in resistance to common damage types and a self-sustaining healing mechanic.
