Prerequisite: Accepting the Kubo Bounty

Your journey begins at the Red Crane Inn, a key location within the Teshio Ridge region. Check the bounty board here to officially accept the "Black Night Kubo" contract. This marks him as your target and sets the stage for the hunt.

Pinpointing the Black Night Duel Ring

Black Night Kubo awaits within a secluded arena known as the Black Night Duel Ring, deep in the Sentinel Forest. Finding it requires a keen eye on your map.

Navigate to the Sentinel Forest area on your world map.

Zoom in closely and look for a small, circular clearing located directly between the words "Sentinel" and "Forest" on the map interface.

This ring is walled off by dense bamboo, creating a distinct and intimate combat arena.

Solving the Spawn Puzzle: The Black Armor Requirement

Upon arriving at the dueling ring, you'll spot a corpse holding a pair ofwooden clapping blocks. Interacting with them initially seems to donothing. This is the core of the puzzle: you must be worthy to summon him.

To call forth Black Night Kubo, you must meet one non-negotiable condition:

You must be wearing a full set of black-colored armor.

Here are the two primary methods to acquire the necessary black armor:

• Method 1: The Nine-Tail Armor (Easiest Route)
  The most straightforward solution is to obtain the Nine-Tail Armor during"The Kitsune" main tale quest in Teshio Ridge. This armor set naturallycomes with the "Eyes in Smoke" dye, giving it a default black appearance that satisfies Kubo's requirement.
• Method 2: Visit the Black Dye Merchant
  If you prefer to use another armor set, you can dye it black. Head to theBlack Dye Merchant, who can be found west of the Teshio River. Purchase a black dye from him and apply it to your preferred armor at a dyestation.
