Devilman Crybaby surprises My Hero in the Crunchyroll Anime.

The winners of Crunchyroll Anime Awards have already been announced and My Hero Academy, returns as the most awarded anime of the year being the winner of 15 categories.

But not everything was flowers for My Hero, because like last year he did not manage to be the winner of the Best Anime of the year.

This year's Anime of the Year award was taken by the Devilman Crybaby series created by the Science Saru studio.

The first episode debuted on Netflix on January 5, 2018, the series is an adaptation of the 70s manga of Go Nagai Devilman.

Crybaby was the first to update his story with a modern environment with new characters and a tight plot.

Devilman Crybaby, focuses on best friends Akira Fudo and Ryo Asuka. After knowing that the demons are real, Akira convinces Ryo to be possessed by one, so that humanity can face a supernatural threat.

Ryo already turned into a demon, calls himself Devilman.


The Anime Awards also premiered the trailer for the film Made in Abyss, an advance of the anime YU-NO: A girl who sings love in Bound of the World, which is expected to premiere in spring and is the union of work between two well-known studios Feel and Genco. Feel architect of the series Dagashi Kashi and Hinamatsuri, Genco is behind the animation of Sword Art Online, Toradora and Elfen Lied.

The awards were also presented with consoles and controllers of Devil May Cry 5 and Xbox One with themes of Hime by Crunchyroll.
