When equipped with this melee weapon, you can perform an overhead attack, a three-hit combo, or an aerial kick that will launch enemies into the air. The three-hit combo does not use a charge mechanic, but both the hook attack and the aerial attack consume one charge. You can also use the Earth Smash maneuver to knock down enemies with a meteor impact. You'll find this new melee weapon in interesting locations like Brutal Plazahead, Nitrodome, and Redline Rig.
