The legendary
Kamehameha, one of pop culture's most iconic attacks, has made its triumphant return to
Fortnite Battle Royale and Zero Build modes. This powerful Mythic weapon allows players to unleash a devastating beam of Ki energy, emulating the power of Goku himself. However, securing this Mythic item requires a bit of luck and knowledge of where to look.
Fortnite: How to Get the Kamehameha Mythic
Currently, the only way to obtain the Kamehameha is by finding it as
Floor Loot or inside
Chests. There are no vendors who sell it, so your success is entirely dependent on RNG. To increase your chances, focus on locations with a high density of chests, especially Rare Chests.
- Chest Locations: Rare Chests have a higher probability of containing Mythic items. While the Kamehameha can be found anywhere, your best bet is to land in areas with a lot of chests.
- High-Traffic Areas: Locations like Supernova Academy are rich with chests but are also popular landing spots, so expect heavy competition.
- Safer Alternatives: For a less-contested landing, try areas like Brutal Boxcars or Foxy Floodgate. These spots still have a good number of chests, increasing your odds of finding the Kamehameha without the immediate threat of a major fight.
What the Kamehameha Does
Once you have the Kamehameha, you'll have a powerful tool for both offense and defense.
- Activation: The Kamehameha has 3 charges. When activated, your character will launch into the air and remain still while charging a beam of Ki energy.
- Damage:
- The initial hit from the beam deals 100 damage.
- If an enemy remains in the beam, they take 40 damage per second.
- Utility: The beam is not just for players; it's also incredibly effective atdestroying structures and vehicles. You can control the beam's direction with your mouse or right stick, allowing you to track moving targets or clear a path.
- Cooldown: There is a 15-second cooldown between each of the three charges.
Countering the Kamehameha
While the Kamehameha is a formidable weapon, it's not without its weaknesses. Players are vulnerable while using it, as they remain stationary in the air.
- Concentrated Fire: As soon as you hear the distinctive charging sound of the Kamehameha, immediately locate the user.
- Target the Head: Since the user cannot move, they become a stationary target. Use a long-range weapon like a DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle) to land precise headshots, which will quickly take them down and cancel the attack.
