How to get a Birthday Medallion in Fortnite Chapter 5, season 4?
You can get your Birthday Medallion by cracking open a birthday present in Fortnite. There, Birthday Presents are lootable pretty much anywhere - including from supply drops, crates, and the ground.
You can find them scattered across the entire island, but I came by mine just on the ground near the stairs leading up to the throne room of Mount Olympus. Given that there isn't any one place in which you can be sure to find one, the best hope you have for finding a birthday present is by looting as much as possible. So that you will not miss one by accident, check every chest and constantly keep looking around you.
Once you've found and collected a Birthday Present, drop it onto the ground to summon a giant box of gifts. After said giant gift has appeared, mine the box with your pickaxe and inside will be. a Birthday Medallion.
Make sure to pick up everything before you start floating off with your shiny new Birthday Medallion, as Birthday Presents also drop other random loot, which often includes powerful weapons. Now that you have one, you may have to figure out how to use it, since it works a lot differently than the other Medallions you can pick up from Mysterio, Emma Frost, and Doombot.
Just like the other Medallions, the Birthday Medallion has several exclusive variants, meaning that in the event of another player managing to get a balloon, you will most likely be joining them in watching them fly over the sky.
What does the Fortnite Birthday Medallion serve?
The Birthday Medallion eventually gives you balloons, which in turn lift you off the ground and allow you to fly anywhere in the sky at will. Unlike other medallions, which show your position on the map, this one doesn't, so you can move around without fear of pursuit by other players.
With this Medallion equipped, every time you jump, you will get a new balloon. You can get up to three of them at the same time. The more balloons you have, the higher you will fly. Because of this, the Birthday Medallion is a good way to see the expansive world but not nearly as good as the War Machine Hover Jets and Iron Man Flight Kit available from Stark Mobile Armories.
You can only complete the Birthday Medallion and other celebratory content until October 1st. Be sure to jump in and begin those birthday missions as soon as you're able, because there are loads of goodies to find including the Firework Flare Gun, Birthday Cake, and many exclusive awards.
