However, mastering this technique can be a bit tricky. In this guide, we’ll show you how to force jump in Fortnite and give you everything you need to know.
Step 1: Obtain a Lightsaber
The first step to using Force Jump in Fortnite is to get your hands on a Lightsaber. These are a rare weapon drop that you can obtain from Star Wars-themed chests or by eliminating specific NPCs. Once you have it in your inventory, make sure it's equipped before attempting to force jump.
It’s important to have a Lightsaber equipped because it’s the only weapon that allows you to perform a Force Jump. Without it, you won’t be able to perform this fantastic mechanic.
Step 2: Jump in the Air
To initiate Force Jump, you must first jump into the air. It's important to note that Force Jump is a variation of the double jump mechanic, which means you have to jump twice to get the desired outcome. Jumping is as simple as pressing the jump button on your controller or keyboard. Once you’ve taken the first leap, you’re ready to use Force Jump.
Step 3: Press the Jump Button Again
While in mid-air, press the jump button again to activate Force Jump. The key or button to activate Force Jump varies depending on your platform, so make sure to check your settings to see which one you need to use. It’s important to note that you must press the jump button again while already in the air to activate the technique.
Step 4: Complete the Find the Force Quest
If you’re having trouble finding a reason to use Force Jump, you can complete the Find the Force Quest. In this quest, players must locate and grind on three different grind rails. The new grind rail locations have been added with the latest update, so you’ll need to explore to find them.
Step 5: Force Jump onto a Grind Rail
To jump onto a grind rail using Force Jump, you need to be far enough away from it to avoid automatically getting on it. Once you’re in the air, activate Force Jump and aim towards the rail. Make sure you’re close enough to jump onto it and land successfully.
Step 6: Force Jump off a Grind Rail
Once you’ve landed on the grind rail, you can use Force Jump to jump off it. Make sure your Lightsaber is still equipped before attempting to jump off. Aim in the direction you want to jump and press the jump button again to activate Force Jump.
That’s it! With these steps, you can now use Force Jump in Fortnite with ease. The key is to remember that you need to have a Lightsaber equipped, jump in the air, press the jump button again, and aim towards your desired location. With a little practice, you’ll be force jumping like a pro in no time. Happy gaming!
