The first thing you have to do is to find the lump of coal that you can find both in Gifts and in the Ice Boxes which you can find all over the map.

When you have the charcoal, what follows is as simple as throwing the charcoal at them as if it were a grenade.  The hit will only do twenty points of damage, so don't expect to kill them, although the charcoal falls in piles of five you can try several times.  T

You can also use a weapon to bring your opponent down to life until he's just one touch away and finish him off by throwing the charcoal to make the final blow.

We recommend throwing it when people are standing still, whether they are checking a chest or loot to make it easier to hit them.

Remember that the charcoal is perfect for stoking the fire, so it is worth picking it up from time to time.

Now that you know how to deal damage an opponent with a lump of coal in Fortnite, you're ready to complete the challenge. Remember that you have until January 7th to do so before the end of the Winterfest event.
