This colossal creature, a special variant of the already impressive Kraken, is incredibly rare and challenging to catch. This guide will detail how to find and (with a lot of patience) reel in this underwater behemoth.
The Ancient Kraken resides in Atlantis.
Atlantis Access: You'llneed to find the Mysterious Pirates in the Grand Reef and complete asmall quest for them. This will grant you the Heart of Zeus, whichallows you to teleport to Atlantis.
Kraken Pool: Once inAtlantis, head southeast, equip your diving gear, and jump into the pond that leads to the ocean. Swim north until you find the Kraken Pool. The regular Kraken will already be present.
Poseidon's Wrath Totem: On a side path near the Kraken Pool, you'll find a spot to use thePoseidon's Wrath Totem. This totem is crucial for triggering the Ancient Kraken Hunt.
Acquiring the Totem:The Poseidon's Wrath Totem can be purchased for 1,500,000 in-game cashfrom Poseidon's Room in Fisch. However, to access Poseidon's Room, youmust first complete the Poseidon Trial Puzzle.
The Hunt Begins: Usingthe Poseidon's Wrath Totem will initiate the Ancient Kraken Hunt. TheKraken will turn a deep red, signaling its transformation into theAncient Kraken and significantly increasing the difficulty of the catch.
The Ancient Kraken is exceptionally difficult to catch. Be prepared for along grind, as the spawn rate is incredibly low (one in several hundred) and the fight itself can take a considerable amount of time. There'sno guaranteed "trick" to make it spawn faster; it's primarily a matterof patience and persistence. Make sure you have the best fishing gearyou can acquire to make the fight itself a bit more manageable, but even then, expect a significant challenge.
