Fields of Mistria: How to get animals on your farm
Raising animals requires a decent supply of animal feed, and to do that, players will first need to fix the run-down Mill in the middle of Mistria's town.
This, like the earlier restoration of Bridge, begins with a letter from Adeline, which players can anticipate receiving at some point during the latter half of Spring, shortly after the Spring Festival. Upon receiving this letter, players should look for Adeline in her office in the Manor.
Restoring the Mill will be a task assigned to players by Adeline. A donation box will be outside the Mill, requesting that players donate the following materials: 150 Wood, 200 Stone, and 2 Copper Ingots. Additionally, a player will need to collect 1,000 Tessarae, but these are not placed inside the donation box.
Once all materials have been donated, and enough Tessarae have been collected, you should head back to Adeline to finish the Mill's restoration. With that, you'll now have access to recipes for making animal feed, and you can purchase Coops and Barns from the Carpenter's Shop, according to Ryis.
Obtain a Coop or a Barn
Attract new Coops and Barns to the Fields of Mistria! This essential construction comes in two sizes: small and large. Both are available in several colors that best fit your farm.
To create, you will first need a blueprint. Small blueprints require 1,500 Tessarae while larger ones are 2,000 Tessarae. After purchasing one, you can place it on your desired location.
Building your coop or barn requires the following resources. The small building requires 75 Wood and 50 Stone and holds up to four animals. For a medium-sized one, you will need 100 Wood and 75 Stone to be able to hold more creatures.
Soon after laying down the blueprint, get the materials you need and make the building in mind that crafting takes time. Plan way ahead so as not to make late night starts that may interfere with the building.
Gather animals
Now your farm is ready for animals! First of all, head to Hayden in Sweetwater Farm to buy chickens or cows. Note that the only breeds of animals sold so far are chicken and cow. Keep in mind that chickens need a Coop, and cows require a Barn. Each individual animal is 1,000 Tesserae in cost and comes in its young form, growing up over time.
Adult chickens enhance the productivity of your farm with their eggs and feathers; cows, with milk. These goods can be used in a variety of recipes or items otherwise crafted at this facility. Bring milk to the Mill to convert it into cheese for further variety.
Use the bell outside each animal shelter to effectively manage your animals. With this tool, you'll be able to dictate whether your livestock roams your farm's land or stays inside their respective buildings. As chickens and cows will help with natural weed control, for their optimum health and productivity, it is always vital to have nicely filled troughs with animal feed.
