While most of these botanical treasures can be discovered through exploration, far and wide, across Mistria's landscapes, others might not be so easy to find besides buying them from special vendors.

Balor's Wagon is a traveling marketplace across the lands of Mistria and it is the focal point for obtaining Winter flora. His stock changes day by day to provide new sets of flora. It is well worth frequenting Balor's Wagon, as he will often carry rare and/or out-of-season items that will help you finish off your collections or simply add a little variety to your museum displays.

I love the smell of jasmine, and it would surely add a bit of sophistication to your winter garden. Find these here:

  • To the southeast of Sweetwater Farm near the gate.
  • Next to the chicken statue.

Poinsettias are another one of the winter color selections that is red. You can find them here:

Snapdragon is an interesting winter flower that looks like the head of a dragon. It can be found here:

  • Inside of the Western Ruins near the central steps

Winter Forage

Foraging during the winter becomes challenging, but with the right information, many edibles can be found. The Winter Forage Bundle consists of

  • Burdock Root
  • Holly
  • Oyster Mushroom
  • Pineshroom
  • Rose Hip

Let's go find these treasures.

  • Burdock Root: A root edible for humans that could be located growing to the south of the museum in the Narrows. Its roots are used in herbal treatment practices and one of the favorite flavoring complimentary agents used for certain foods.
  • Holly: A shining evergreen shrub growing in profusion about the town of Mistria, particularly near the river and bridge, and along the Eastern Road. Although its berries are commonly associated with Christmas, holly leaves and bark yield herbal teas and tinctures.
  • OYSTER MUSHROOM: Up northeast on the Eastern Road, among vine-covered steepy stairs, is one of the popular edible mushrooms. An oyster mushroom truly is what it sounds like: individual form with a fan and a subtle flavor. It is often used in stir-fries, soups, and sauces.
  • Pineshroom: One that resides near pine trees. You may be able to find these close to the chicken statue in the east of Sweetwater Farm. Pineshrooms have a nutty taste; blend in many dishes, from pasta to risotto to your omelet.
  • Rose Hip: Far to the north in the town of Mistria is a manor; to the manor's right are rose bushes, and in them grow rose hips. The rosehip is the fruit of the rose bush. Containing high doses of vitamins and antioxidants, it appears as the bright-red results. The infusion may be used in jam, jelly, and in preparing a tea.

As the icy winter winds sweep in from the fields of Mistria, the landscape is transformed into an iced wonderland filled with one of a kind botanical treasures. A vast array of flora typical for the season lie in wait just beyond the museum halls. Unlike the museum donations, these plants may be used or gathered for personal use, culinary explorations, or to gift others.

In these, some stand out in the winter botanical tapestry—glowing ethereally in the dark Gloveberry and tangy and bright in color, the Wintergreen Berry. These are identifiably flamboyant plants, in contrast to the otherwise subdued property that wintertime enforces on the landscape. And of course, one needs not say much about the Ice Block. Although not technically a plant, it is valuable resource material that players can harvest from frozen water bodies; it serves as an all-game versatile material.

For people who have a deficiency of the past seasons, Spring and Fall have an absolutely wonderful flora of their own, each one with its own appeal and potential use. Our in-depth guides to these seasons will give you important information about plants you may encounter and how to make the most out of them.

Remember, Fields of Mistria is still an Early Access title, meaning that lots of stuff in the game is still a work in progress. Content contained in this guide is current to Version 0.11.5 but is expected to change again. Time to bundle up, take a trek into the frosty outdoors, and explore the many botanical marvels scattered throughout the glacial landscape.
