What are Minions in FFXIV Island Sanctuary?

They are one of the things you will be able to find in the new Island Sanctuary mode, with the arrival of patch 6.2. These are your minions in the Sanctuary, which don't grant any benefit, but it's fun to see them around the island.

When you are able to enter the Island Sanctuary, you will need to focus on completing all the tutorial missions with Felicitous Furball, so that you learn how to collect and craft items, then Furball will unlock the Release Minions feature.

Go to the Island Sanctuary menu box > click on the Minions icon > select an area in the Sanctuary > click on Select Minion > select the Minions you want to release in the area from your inventory.

You can recall minions from that menu as well, but keep in mind that you will only be able to count 40 minions around the Sanctuary, so if you want to release others you will have to recall some of the ones already there.
