What to know about finding the Corvega safe in Fallout 4?

When we talk to Preston Garvey during the mission "The First Step" in Fallout 4, we can select the Corveg factory in Lexington as the location of the gang chasing us. We will then be tasked with clearing the raid group's location and killing the leader, Jared. As a reward for killing him, we will receive the Corvega security key, which will give us the gang's loot stored in their hideout.

Where to find the Corvega safe in Fallout 4?

To find the key to the Corvega safe in Fallout 4, we will have to go to the room with two turrets where Jared is. After killing Jared, we will look for the stairs on the left side of the room that will take us to the platform where Jared's body is. However, we will be trapped in a giant chasm created by the dismantled bridge.

To our right is a button that we can use to extend the bridge and close the gap. In addition, it is also possible to jump gaps if we run and time correctly. After extending the bridge or jumping the gap, we will have to collect the Corvega security key from the corpse of the bandit leader.

After doing this, we return to the first floor using the stairs we used before. Then we go down to the lower level of the room, turn left and return to the back wall under the platform above. We looked for a blue wooden sign with the words "Keep Out" painted in white. This board is located just below the platform where we looted Jared's body.

The Corvega safe is located behind the blue wooden panel on the right. There's no need to worry if we leave this place because we're bored searching Corvega's safe or trying to find a way to cross the chasm and loot Jared's body. If we go back, the body will still be in this room. We can still find the key to Corvega's safe and find the safe we want.

This is an important note about Corvega Safe Lock and another similar lock called Corvega Safe Lock that we may well find in Fallout 4 to avoid confusion. Corvega Vault Key is the key we receive after defeating Cartilage. This safe can be found in another location called Corvega Warehouse.
