How to complete Gunsmith Part 8 

Task Requirements:


  • Modify/build an AKS-74N with the stated components
  • Deliver the finished AKS-74N to Mechanic

Building AKS-74N


  • 1. Get Base Weapon: Buy an AKS-74N from Prapor for ~40,000 Roubles.
  • 2. Weapon Modding: Right-click the AKS-74N in your inventory and select "Edit Build." Make sure you only use Zenit parts when modifying it. Adding a part not by Zenit will void the weapon from submission.

Required Parts:


  • AK Zenit PT-3 Stock
  • AKS-74/AKS-74U Zenit PT Lock
  • AK Zenit RK-3 Pistol Grip
  • Zenit B-33 Dust Cover
  • Zenit B-30 Handguard w/ B-31S Upper Handguard Rail *or barter 3x RAM to Mechanic Lv.2
  • Zenit DTK-1 Muzzle Brake Compensator
  • Zenit RK-0 Tactical Foregrip
  • AK-12 30-round Magazine (not Early Model)
  • Zenit Klesch-2IKS IR Illuminator with Laser (or KAC Push Button Switch Foregrip + separate laser)

To purchase the missing parts, use traders either Prapor or Mechanic.
Flea market in case some of the traders don't have certain parts in stock. Also, prices may drop down a bit there.

task completion :


  • 1. Craft the Gun: With all the components, craft the AKS-74N based on the listed component above.
  • 2. Submit: In game, open up Mechanic's service menu, and look for Gunsmith Part 8. With the AKS-74N created, select it and click "Turn In" to complete the quest.

Rewards:


  • Experience: 8,600
  • Mechanic Reputation: +0.02
  • Roubles: 75,000 (dependent on Intelligence Center level)
  • Add Equipment: AKS-74U CAA tactical handguard, AK-74 JMac Customs RRD-4C muzzle brake, 5.45x39mm BS gs 30-round ammo-up to as many as desired

Additional Tips:


  • Take a second to make sure that you have installed only Zenit products on this build before you put it all together.
  • You may want to trade the B30 + B31S handguard with Mechanic Lv.2 for a possible discount in Roubles.
  • If the Zenit Klesch is too pricey, then the KAC Push Button Switch Foregrip with a laser device separate will do the trick.
