Elden Ring Nightreign: How To Stop Locust Swarm

The Locust Swarm is a random event in Elden Ring Nightreign. Its frequent and unpredictable appearance can be annoying and quite detrimental at any stage of your expedition. These swarms can strike you or your party members multiple times, stealing Runes before disappearing.Their arrival is heralded by a distinct visual and auditory cue: your surroundings will take on a purple hue, accompanied by the sound of approaching locusts. If the swarm successfully strikes you, you will lose your current Runes, and your character level will reset to 1.Crucially, the Locust Swarm is not just a nuisance; it is the workings of a hidden boss. To find this boss, you must follow the cloud of locusts to the invader's location.Upon doing so, you will discover an orb. Interacting with this orb will spawn the hidden enemy: it is the Moth from the Sentient Pest boss fight. However, unlike its Nightlord form, this encounter is significantly less difficult. Surprisingly, the Moth will not retaliate much, allowing you to easily keep striking it until you defeat the boss.

Reward for Beating the Invader Moth Boss

Once you have defeated the Pestilent Lord (the Moth), several valuable rewards await you:

• Restoration of Runes: All of your stolen Runes will be returned to you.
• Special Buff: In addition to your Runes, you will also receive a special buff. This buff grants your random hits against enemies a chance to yield more Runes, significantly boosting your resource acquisition for the remainder of the expedition.

It is important to remember that the Locust Swarm in Elden Ring Nightreign is a random event, and it most frequently occurs between the first or the second day of your expedition. Being prepared for this encounter can turn a potential disaster into a rewarding opportunity.
