This time we return with a guide with the purpose of supporting you on How to unlock Jeice and Burter paths in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
Chapter Arrival on Planet Namek breaks the official Dragon Ball Z storyline and presents Goku's first "What if?" path. Defeating either Burter or Jeice will activate the second route. Both depend on each other and need to be fulfilled to active a unique combat move.
In Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Arrival on Planet Namek, the following guide will show you the road that Jeice and Burter take.
The chapter begins on the arrival of Planet Namek, with the beginning of the combat between Jeice vs. Aliens. One particular interaction is required to be performed for getting into the canon passage - on performing the exact interaction, Burter will show up. Let's take a detailed look at both of them.
Deflecting a Crusher Ball or reducing the difficulty will prompt Burter to appear, since the quest begins with Jeice. In the official timeline of Dragon Ball Z, Jeice and Burter work together in trying to stop Goku, and one of the actions they do is that they block the ball. If you want to keep on track, press O/B (Standard) △+O/Y+B (Classic) to deflect it. See our tutorial on how to effectively deflect it for more on this topic.
Once you've avoided the Crusher Ball, Burter will jump in, allowing you to end his life. Because at no point in this route is the canon path ever veered from, it will work regardless of difficulty setting. This is how you'll be able to summon Burter in, thus avoiding the Crusher Ball scenario if you wish.
Don't worry, defeating Burter won't be a problem, it's not like fighting Great Ape Vegeta. Study his moveset, but pay special attention to Full-Power Energy Ball and Space Mach Attack. Jeice and Burter also share a special called Purple Comet Attack. To counter their close-range attacks, do a Perception attack and try dodging these no matter what.
One of the battle's Alternate Objectives says, "defeat Jeice without deflecting a Crusher Ball." All it means is "Eliminate Jeice," but that just sounds fancier than what you'd normally say. Likewise, you merely have to dodge or guard the Crusher Ball; no need to go out of your way to do so.
Burter's fight is much harder than the one against Jeice. You may use his Spirit Bomb to take almost half of Goku's health in order for him to be easy to defeat. Other useful strategies would be the Sparking mode upgrade, x20 Kaioken Kamehameha, and Kaioken Rush. Many others are present. You will be able to beat Jeice with very high confidence with their help in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero.
Since this is the alternative route, you will be taken to a different story with the Ginyu Force. For now, you will be able to get 1,000 Zenni and 50 Player EXP from the canon and other routes. You will be able to access the Arrival on Planet Namek mission through the Episode Map, so you will be allowed to replay it if you have completed either of those scenarios. You get extra rewards that way, as well as finding stories outside of the DBZ canon.
So we come to the end of this explanatory guide, now you know How to unlock Jeice and Burter paths in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, just do it and enjoy it to the fullest.
