To unlock the Sunlit Plateau, you will need to collect 7,000 Dreamlight, which you can in turn earn by completing tasks throughout the valley and completing quests for the residents.

After you have unlocked the Sunlit Plateau, you will be able to find Walleye by fishing on the blue and orange nodes in the river and pond in the region. But keep in mind that the game has a glitch that makes finding this fish almost impossible.

Another option to find this fish is fishing in the water, which can take a long time. The best thing to do is unlock Moana's ship, which will allow you to get random fish from the various regions you've unlocked, but it's important to have the boat fully upgraded to increase your chances of getting rarer fish.
